The Problem We All Live With (and Ruby Bridges) visit the White House

Thank you for your interesting commentary and timely post. This is one of the most important artworks of my lifetime, and represented a new direction for Mr. Rockwell at that point in his career.

It should be noted that President Obama recently requested to borrow this landmark painting from the Norman Rockwell Museum for display in the West Wing of the White House until Oct. 31 of this year (2011).

To commemorate the event, Ruby Bridges and representatives from the Norman Rockwell Museum visited the White House about two weeks ago and discussed the painting with the President.
