Yes, the rumors are true. A Norman Rockwell calendar inspired this whole resource.

Let me say up front that I receive lots of free calendars each year. My realtor, my insurance agent, you name it... they all send me a free calendar each year. And I am grateful. I give all those away to my friends who are not Norman Rockwell collectors.

The local hospital sends our pharmacy a calendar each year. Sometimes the calendar features pictures of animals or even the hospital itself. Not the kind of calendar I would want.

This year, however, the hospital sent out a really nice spiral-bound Rockwell calendar. It was printed on nice thick cardstock paper, just like the calendars from Calendars.com. My boss asked "Who wants this calendar?" That's when I thought to myself, "Who wouldn't want a beautiful calendar like that?"

So now we have two Norman Rockwell calendars hanging in the pharmacy. We give away a less expensive calendar to our customers each year. This year it featured the art of my favorite artist! The clerks keep one copy for the front register.

The beauty of a Rockwell calendar is that you get to look at a different Norman Rockwell painting each month. December always has a Christmas painting. Summer months always have kids playing outdoors, swimming or playing baseball.

If it's really cold out, you can skip forward to see a nice warm summer picture. And if it's really hot, you can mentally cool down with a winter scene.

The best place to order a calendar online is Calendars.com. They have over 5,000 new calendars for every interest and occasion, including Norman Rockwell. Calendars.com has a nice selection and price range. Also they don't overcharge shipping charges.

Don't forget to take a quick Norman Rockwell Collector Survey while you're here. Thanks.

Norman Rockwell Quotes:

I'll never have enough time to paint all the pictures I'd like to.

No man with a conscience can just bat out illustrations. He's got to put all his talent and feeling into them!

Some people have been kind enough to call me a fine artist. I've always called myself an illustrator. I'm not sure what the difference is. All I know is that whatever type of work I do, I try to give it my very best. Art has been my life.

Right from the beginning, I always strived to capture everything I saw as completely as possible.

The secret to so many artists living so long is that every painting is a new adventure. So, you see, they're always looking ahead to something new and exciting. The secret is not to look back.

I can take a lot of pats on the back. I love it when I get admiring letters from people. And, of course, I'd love it if the critics would notice me, too.

You must first spend some time getting your model to relax. Then you'll get a natural expression.
