Norman Rockwell Art:
A Complete Covers List from The Saturday Evening Post

The Saturday Evening Post cover featured Norman Rockwell art 322 covers over a period of 47 years. Here is a complete list of Post covers featuring Rockwell illustrations. They are listed in Chronological order. Enjoy.

From his epic first meeting with the art director of The Saturday Evening Post, Norman Rockwell painted America as he saw it and thought it to be.

The earliest paintings that populate the first part of the lsit are mostly paintings of children and dogs. These were Rockwell's most familiar subjects, having spent svereal years already painting illustrations for magazines, such as St.Nicholas, Everyland and Youth's Companion, that were primarily intended for young readers. Rockwell has also spent time as the art director and cover illustrator for Boys' Life magazine as well.

He also included some paintings that illustrations of older Americans as characters. He strongly felt that the older models had faces with a lot of character. During the early period he also painted American servicemen during World War One.
